Gov. Newsom is shutting down certain things across the State now. Good move let's get this CV under control.

Here is the list from KTLA.com

"Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday required 30 counties, including all in Southern California, to close indoor activities at fitness centers, places of worship, offices for non-critical sectors, personal care services, such as hair salons and barbershops, and indoor malls.

In addition, he ordered all 58 counties to close indoor operations at restaurants, wineries, tasting rooms, movie theaters, family entertaining centers, museums, zoos and card rooms, and ordered all bars shuttered across the state.

The new restrictions take effect immediately.

Effective immediately, CA is closing some indoor business operations statewide and additional indoor business operations in counties on @CAPublicHealth Monitoring List for 3 consecutive days."

LA schools are not opening this Fall, one of the best decisions they have taken in a long time. Opening schools will kill thousands of kids, let them get used to learning online, it is the future anyways. We are going for an all out digital world.

A Coronavirus vaccine looking to become a reality?

"An experimental Covid-19 vaccine that is being developed by US biotech firm Moderna induced antibody responses against the coronavirus in all 45 participants of a human trial, a paper published Tuesday showed.

Moderna had previously published "interim results" from its Phase 1 in the form of a press release on its website in May, which revealed the vaccine had generated immune responses in eight patients.

Though these were called "encouraging" by Anthony Fauci, the top US infectious diseases official, the full study had been eagerly awaited by the scientific community.

The company has since moved to the next stage of its trial, involving 600 people.

The new paper was published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

The 45 participants were split into three groups of 15 each to test doses of 25 micrograms, 100 micrograms and 250 micrograms.

They were given a second dose 28 days later.

After the first round, antibody levels were found to be higher with higher level doses, and after the second round, participants had higher levels of antibodies than most patients who have Covid-19 and gone on to generate their own antibodies.

More than half the participants experienced mild or moderate side-effects, though these did not rise to the level where the trial would be called off.

The side effects included fatigue, chills, headache, bodyache, and pain at the injection site.

Three participants did not receive their second dose, including one in the 25 microgram group who developed a skin rash on both legs, and two (one in the 25 microgram group, one in 250 group) who missed their window because they had Covid-19 symptoms, but their tests later returned negative.

Andrew Freedman, an infectious disease expert at the University of Cardiff who was not involved in the study, said the paper suggested the vaccine "is able to stimulate antibody production in a dose-dependent fashion."

"Importantly, the antibodies generated were able to neutralise the virus" in lab conditions, he added.

"The side effects experienced by more than half the participants are quite common after other vaccinations, although the 'more severe adverse events' experienced by three of the subjects given the highest dose may mean that dose is too high to take forward," he said.

The Moderna vaccine belongs to a new class of vaccine that uses genetic material, in the form of RNA, to encode the information needed to grow the virus' spike protein inside the human body, in order to trigger an immune response.

The spike protein is a part of the virus it uses to invade human cells, but by itself is relatively harmless."

I watched this video on Youtube and it seems that face coverings even surgical masks do not stop the coronavirus (or any virus) from entering your nose or mouth. They do not stop it leaving your nose or mouth to go into the air , so what is the point of wearing them.

You prevent your exhaled breath from sending out any virus it may contain, if everyone covered their mouth for a couple of months and kept their distance this thing would get much better.

This guy lucky or unlucky, he has been positive for the Coronavirus a 3rd time. He's lucky for making it through 2 times already, unlucky for contracting the virus a 3rd time.

"The president of Brazil has once again tested positive for COVID-19.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Wednesday told CNN that his latest COVID-19 test came back positive, with this coming roughly two weeks after he announced that he had contracted the coronavirus. This was Bolsonaro's third COVID-19 test since July 7, according to Reuters.

"The test carried out on the president yesterday, on the 21st, showed a positive result," a statement from the Communications Ministry said, per Reuters. "President Bolsonaro is still in good condition, accompanied by the presidency's medical team."

Last week, Bolsonaro announced his second COVID-19 positive result, saying at the time, "I hope that in the coming days I will do another test and, God willing, everything will be all right to return soon to activity."

Bolsonaro had downplayed the risks of COVID-19 repeatedly and dismissed it as just a "little cold." Earlier this month, he removed his mask while telling reporters he had tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the Brazilian Press Association to say it would file a lawsuit, blasting his "beyond irresponsible" behavior."
