yes and no. A vps account is one of many on the server, a shared server is 2 people sharing a server not 200.
VPS users - a quetion ????
Running vps accounts is pure gravy for hosts, they can sell hundred $20 a month accounts on a server which they would have leased out for $100.

On the flip side that is a alot of tech support time that costs hosts money.

VPS is better in most cases (I have it). Easier administration, cheaper, faster installation, without paying for setup.
You prefer a vps over a dedicated serverKontemplado wrote: ↑April 24th, 2020, 2:41 pmVPS is better in most cases (I have it). Easier administration, cheaper, faster installation, without paying for setup.

It is not even a question , the answer is a dedicated server period.

I learned my lesson long time ago and have been doing that. Working server at one company backed up every night to another server at another company. With nightly backups at the 1st company too.

If you can always go with your own server, the extra few dollars a month is worth it.
