are you all using mysql databases

Or do some of you use other types?

Wondering if there all databases systems are about the same or if they have any advantages.

i use mysqli it was upgraded years ago :ugeek:

Mysql is the only one I use, it is the most common one I can think of.

My accounts at 5 hosts I have been with all used MySql, so never looked into alternatives, it does what it is supposed to do so why change.

MariaDB, the mySQL sequel that came about when there were concerns about mySQL not staying open source.

open source scripts always get more updates and bug fixes, that is a plus.
