There has to be others here who are diabetic or border line. When I went to the doctors for an unrelated problem he ordered a blood test and told me later I was prediabetic. That explains why I wake up so often at night go to the bathroom.

Hello you have a fellow one right here, not taking pills, controlling it with eating right, not drinking a walking everyday. I know quite a lot about the subject been one for years (Type 2) and read stacks of articles, if you have any questions fire away.

Nope it is a progressive disease, in a very small number of cases where you are over weight and eat unhealthy you can bring it down to normal by exercise and diet. But in most instances once you are diabetic it is not going anywhere, you just try manage it as best as you can with diet, exercise and pills. Two out of 3 diabetics die from cardio-vascular disease so you need to manage it.

My grand father is a type 1 whatever that is he injects himself twice a day , but he's living fine, he's 82.
