Not sure how it is okay to scrap emails off a website and sell it.
It's not...
assuming that is how they do it then going with colmike7's answer

Even if it is ok, which it's not, if you're looking to make money on email campaigns then that is not the right way to do it. First of all everyone on those sold lists will already be spammed to hell since most sold lists are sold to many people, and you definitely won't be the first unless you know the collector. Second, quality sucks, won't be soi/doi, and most of the time way before you get through your list(s), you will be tagged for spam, even if you "warm up" your servers slowly. Last, you risk yourself getting in trouble with spam laws depending where you are.

psst: If anyone does mailers the right way, dating preferred even these days, we should talk. I know more about this than I make it seem. I got on an advisory board at ASE without even trying and my focus was mailers then lol (With TM, but the badge says DF since I went with both).. : x

Ravo must be hurting peddling his hits and trying some new idea. This new idea is even worse than selling worthless traffic which is what most traffic brokers sell these days.

If they are collecting the right way with soi/doi etc, does anyone know what verticals they're targeting, how often a cross promotion is sent vs a regular newsletter or is it ad space in those emails (since I'm guessing this is how they're doing it), what the time frame is from collection to sending, countries that they are from, percent to inbox, how many others are paying for this per email sent, etc?
