Greetings all! I immediately became interested in this topic, because I have been suffering from joint pain, especially back pain, since I can remember. The problem is that the pain cannot be completely and permanently relieved. The longest I have been able to get rid of the pains is 3 months. Then they kept coming back again and again. The method of heating the problem areas and special massage helped me the most.

I guess if you do not strain your wrist and are not on a mouse all day it helps reduce the chances of getting it

It's painful my father has it, he gets cortisone shots twice a year in his wrist, that hurts like bitch.
That is more painful than the condition, I took my mother for a cortisone shot in her shoulder, she was yelling as the doctor was injecting her, you will never have me get that shot no matter what pain i am suffering from.
I had a cortisone shot in my left shoulder a year and a half ago. No pain whatsoever, didn't feel a thing. Perhaps the doctor's skill played a role in this. Or maybe I was just numb to it. :)

I've heard of hairy palms and blindness, but CTS? Dude... you're taking it to a whole nother level.

Just watch what you do, avoid repetitive motion and use your right hand to jerk off instead. A brace to restrict motion and ibuprofen to reduce inflammation might be helpful. Over time you'll change the habits that irritate it and all it'll be is just a minor annoyance. Hopefully.
