2020 election thread
no one has posted a thread about the 2020 election, here it is.
And today is Super Tuesday, big day for the a who want to win the party nomination at their conference.
My prdiction is a Bernie / Biden contest for the Democratic nomination, and of course the President will run and win any ways.

Unless the economy takes a nose dive, it is Trumps win for sure. James Carville who was Bill Clinton's 1982 presidential campaign strategist coined the phrase. "The economy, stupid" which many mistakenly say “It’s the economy, stupid.”
The economy is doing very well, and people care about their pockets not global issues.
Now the only way I see Trump not winning a 2nd term is if the economy goes down and that could very easily happen now with the onset of the Coronavirus. In effect the Coronavirus my cause Trump the election.
Now on the Dems side, it's Bernie the progressive v Biden the more centrist-corporate Democrat. If neither of them wins the presidential race both will be too old to run in 2024.
If it comes down to Bernie v Trump, which is a distinct possibility unless the party screws him a 2nd time out of the nomination, and the economy goes south because of the Coronavirus or any other unforeseen reason, then Trump is at a major disadvantage. Because when times are good no one cares as much about money. But if people start getting sick all across the country, their health care costs will be a big factor in how they see Bernie's "Free health care for all"
Now that said, the Democrats are fighting tooth and nail to get Biden as their candidate, they can not stand Bernie's positions on issues. Free healthcare, free college for all, no more unnecessary wars, increasing the minimum wage to $15 an hour, raising taxes on the very rich.
These are all bad for big business and the military-industrial complex. Plus Bernie came out said he will not attend the AIPAC conference, and supports a 2 state solution for Israel an Palestine. AIPCA is very powerful, and losing the Jewish vote is not going to help his chances.
Who do I want to see win, I think that is obvious. Bernie is looking out for the working man and woman not just the top 1%.
Feel the Bern !

But your president has done so much good for your country, why would people not re-elect him.

The big surprise last night was how well Biden did, and how poorly Sanders did, the only bright spot for sanders is he won the big one California.
Bloombergdroped out today after spending about $400 million of his money. Some interesting stuff happened on Super Tuesday.

Warren is out today, it is a Bernie and Joe contest for the Democratic nomination as of today.
So what if the election is postponed for 4 years, Trump is going to win any way.
You may be right, the "race for the White House" is a waste of money, Trump has it nailed down, he's kept a lot of his promises and the economy is flying high. People o care about the economy and how well they are doing. The 2 Democrats left might as well pack it up and go home watch tv, they are both too old any ways.
The economy will be key in the out come. And the stock markets are not going too well right now.

Watch the economy, it will be key in this up coming election cycle, I have been saying this for a long time.
Biden won last night, in what you can call Super Tuesday 2.0 and Sanders is all but over in his race to the nomination.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

It might be delayed with the Coronavirus situation, you do not want millions of people going to the same places touching things and increasing the outbreak of this CV.
