Who is surprised not me, just when this case was getting some closure let's re-open the wounds of George Floyd being . For the record he was convicted of second degree unintentional murder, second degree manslaughter and third degree murder in the death of George Floydon April 20th 2021.
Ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has filed a motion seeking a new trial in the death of George Floyd, arguing that his constitutional right to a fair trial was violated multiple times throughout the proceedings.
Defense attorney Eric Nelson took issue with the judge’s refusal to grant a change of venue and the decision to not sequester jurors during the trial, among other things in a 10-point post-verdict filing.

The sooner it starts and ends the better for all
Any good attorney will try to get an appeal for his client it is part of their job, if they get the appeal to happen and how it ends up are not a given.
